Kent graduated from QUT in 2004 with first class honours.  During his studies, he was awarded the Leonard K Claxton award for excellence in clinical studies and the Texas Peak Brooks award for sports medicine.  He has worked predominantly in private practice since graduating with a clinical interest in tendinopathies and sports medicine.  He also worked at the School of Medicine, Griffith University, conducting research into treatments for Achilles tendon pain for 4 years.  Kent was awarded for this work at the national Sports Medicine Australia conference in 2008 with the Asics award for the best new investigator (lower limb).  He has published his work in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences both locally and internationally.  Kent is a contributor in Bruckner and Khan’s “Clinical Sports Medicine” textbook.  Together with his brother, Kent owns both Performance Podiatry & Physiotherapy and Queensland Orthotic Laboratory.
